A Bathtub in Every Room

Here’s a quick story of what happens when DIY home renovations take longer than expected…

We have found that there are not too many things more aggravating than having to wait for supplies for a job when you’re ready to start. In fact, it’s second only to getting supplies too early and now having to figure out where to store them. This was screamingly apparent when we started work on our bathroom.

We wanted a slipper tub for the second floor bath. In searching high and low, we decided to buy new and realized it would take at least 6 weeks to receive the tub from the time we order. We thought we calculated the timing close enough and ordered our new beautiful tub. As life would have it, we were off target by a little (and I mean a lot;). We then were faced with where to store our new purchase. We had to repeatedly find a space to store this beauty. So we eventually had a bathtub in almost every room in the house

First it found itself in the dining room. This was when we actually thought it would be in it’s forever home very soon.

As time rolled on, we needed the dining room for Thanksgiving. Our beauty was then brought closer to the bathroom. It’s home was now the room across the hall.

I then, couldn’t wait any longer. I was getting in!

Tried on the space in the bathroom just to see how it would look. As you can see, we still have a lot of work to do. And it’s beginning to get dusty. From here we had to store it in the unfinished master bedroom at the end of the hall.

Tried the space on for size again. Getting excited!

Finally getting the floor ready to support the tub.

And Finally! TahDah!!! In it’s forever home!

I will post pictures of the long awaited finished bathroom soon. Until then, Enjoy the sneak peek.

Happy Rearranging to all!
